What
the industry wants
As the professional body for IT Consultants, the Institute
of IT Consulting (IITC) provides you with a professional credential
and allows you to differentiate yourself from people who lack
consulting skills. And, for organsations that deploy IT consulting
services, the IITC reduces risk by ensuring IT Consultants
skills' are certified and organisations' processes are accredited.
Ultimately we aim to ensure that purchasers of IT Consulting
services can be certain that they are dealing with organisations
which adhere to a range of quality practices.
"NCC research has shown that purchasers of IT services recognise
that contracting for consulting services is a high risk proposition
because there are no standards against which a consultant
must perform.
We therefore fully support the establishment
of an accreditation and certification authority under the
aegis of the NCC/IITT.
Once the standards have been developed,
these organisations would expect that certification of individuals
will become part of their IT consulting supplier selection
criteria."
